PROJECT 1: Precedent Study

Belum Rainforest Resort Part 2 of the precedent study exercise had for aim to create a further understanding of Nature Appreciation and preservation in terms of Architectural Design by experiencing it in live within an existing example of Nature Architecture. This exercise had for aim to create a better understanding of programmatic configuration as well as for sustainable design.

The main aim of this exercise was to acquire proper understanding of the relationship in between nature and architecture which creates a synthesis in between human and its surrounding. This exercise constitutes of two (2) parts.

Part 1 constitutes into analysis a foreign existing architecture responding to the criteria of nature appreciation. The Nature Center situated in Hareskoven, Denmark was selected for this analysis displayed above. The analysis comport sustainable design to minimize harm to nature and programmatic configuration and design in order to allow indoor and outdoor relationship to be enhanced.

PROJECT 2: Nature Appreciation Centre

Nature Centrum A design based on the conceptual figuration of an explosion has been realised with aim to unite people. Being designed with the intention to become a haven for children between the age of 4-8 years old, it contains Cultural crafting workshops, exhibition space, Communal space, Internal Courtyard and an open-air performance platform. The design's wings has been oriented according to the level of noise of the site which categorize privacy level and as well as poetic experience.

For this semester, the theme NATURE APPRECIATION was attributed as design directive. The aim of this design project was to enhance and value nature appreciation and create awareness about environmental impact . The knowledge acquired from the previous precendent study exercises were also to be applied into the this project.

The aim of this project was to design a Nature Appreciation Centre which would contain a programmatic configuration and which would be designed together considerating Nature Conservation and Environmental Impact. The purpose of this design is to create Nature Appreciation and to find a way to rehance communal life in the premises of Pekan Sepang as the upcoming NAC would be connected to the existing EIC Sepang.
