INTRODUCTION

This Assignment is a group project composed of 10 members. The aim of this assignment is mainly based on introducing us to the process of Building Construction and teach us all how things works in the Construction world from safety precautions to building finishes.

We were to explore 3 different sites and gather informations about construction processes. To access to out report please click on the cover image.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Better Understanding of Building Construction procedures on site in real life.

2. Better Analytical skills concerning construction techniques developped through site experience.

3. Acquisition of abilty to draw out construction details based on Construction Theories and Practicals understanding.

INTRODUCTION

After having experienced building process, building techniques and Site works from Project 1: Experiencing Construction. For Design Studio 2 final project we were assigned to integrate building construction into Design Studio and detail out building construction techniques employed into the designed house.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Better understanding of building restrictions, tehcniques and principles.

2. Understanding of how to merge Art with Construction Techniques and create a well balanced design.

3. Introduction to Modern Design Techniques such as overhang floor slab (cantilever)

4. A more indepth analytical judgement on the workability of materials according to site context and construction techniques employed.
